Choose your wedding photo location where people don’t have to walk too far

It seems like such a no-brainer—but many people don’t think of this when they’re choosing a place to do their wedding photos:

Choose a place where people don’t have to walk too far.

You don’t want your bridesmaids walking for miles in high heels.  They’re usually not used to walking in heels, and most will start protesting if the walk is too long. Plus, the girls are usually wearing long, unfamiliar dresses. It’s really not an outfit for walking.

You also don’t want older people to walk too far for wedding photos – it’s just too hard on them.

In Montreal, the best place to go is in Old Montreal, near City Hall. Here, there are many different locations in a small area, so you get variety in your photos without having to make people walk too far.

So, when you’re choosing a location for your wedding photos, take a really good look at how far it is from your car to the place where you’ll be taking photos. Ideally, it should not be more than 50-100 feet away.

If you’re not sure, ask your photographer – they should be able to help you with this.

Here are some photos from Old Montreal. Most of these photos were taken within a 50 foot area.
